Day 5

This morning I was walking across campus (what little there is) to go meet with a professor. As I walked down the sidewalk in the beautiful 60⁰ weather my mp3 player’s [under-used]shuffle selected a lovely little gem of a song—‘Day 5’ by Explosions in the Sky.

Something about the combination of strolling along in a t-shirt with the sun in my face and hearing this pleasantly light-hearted song gave me a wonderful feeling of whimsy and calm which lasted through the rest of the day.

Sometimes simple blessings are the most poignant.
